My favourite knot for lure and surf casting, the tag end faces back towards the angler during casting eliminating bust offs during power casts. Also behaves well when extra heavy leader is used in conjunction with very light braids. Very strong and shock resistant if tied correctly. For best knot strength use an 8 core braid which will retain a round profile to stop the braid cutting into the leader material. My favorites are Daiwa Saltiga 8 braid & Black Magic Rainbow Braid (available in spools up to 1000 meters).

1) Tie a single overhand knot in leader line	2) Pass braid through overhand knot
3) Wrap around leader 8 times	4) Wrap back over braid 4 times
5) Create loop between wrapped braid and overhand knot and pass braid through 3 times	Excellent knot for leaders between 15lb and 100lb
